5 out of 5 stars Great Phone with long lasting battery!   May 21, 2010
GreenMachine (Charles Town, WV)
I bought this phone back in September of 2009. My wife and I both work from home, so we needed the 2 line capability, and use it heavily. The phone is sleek looking, but it's functions are the clear winner.

The battery life is impressive. I have been on conference calls that have lasted up to 6 hours (using speaker phone!), without having to recharge the unit.

The speaker phone is very loud and clear. It's a pleasure to use.

The range of the phone is impressive as well. I have a 4 acre lot, and I've taken the phone out about 200 feet from the base unit, and still had great reception.

This phone was a trade-in/up from a Vtech cordless model, and we are MUCH happier with this phone. I would strongly recommend it to anyone.

4 out of 5 stars good deal   May 3, 2010

I had a previous 2 line from Panasonic (5.8 gb) and I had problem with the batteries ! I was expecting nothing less from the new one as reception and usability but an improvement on battery duration . I got what I expected and more

2 out of 5 stars Poor Signal Strength   April 21, 2010
David Fulton (Houston, TX)
I purchased this phone and 5 handsets to replace a older Panasonic (KX-TG6502) thinking that the DECT 6.0 would give me additional range on the handsets. The phone arrived and was easy to set up but I noticed that the handset in the areas farthest from the base station would not always ring. They also dropped the connection while you are talking and I was not able to use the built-in speakerphone if the signal strength was low. I did some research and found that Panasonic says the range should be around 300 feet. I guess this is with no walls or obstructions because I was having problems with anything over about 60 feet. I called Panasonic tech support to see if they had a repeater / range extender which would work with this phone and they said 'none was available'. The AT&T small business 4-line phone is the only one I have found which offers the repeater / range extender option so I guess I am going to purchase the AT&T model.

2 out of 5 stars Not good enough...   March 16, 2010

I have had a number of problems with this unit...

First off the user interface is what I would consider "lack luster" for a product from Panasonic. The menus are not well laid out and are not what I would consider well thought out. For example to get to your caller ID list you need to press the Menu button twice and then the "navigation" button just to get to the first or last item. In most of the other phone I have tried it usually one "click" and your there.

Next, the rings that are available... They are just plain awful! They are all very electronic sounding. I do not understand why they don't have one out of the 14 that is just a plain telephone ring.

There are a number of things missing as well. I have the base unit and 3 "extensions" (4 units total). In my house we use the intercom a lot, I would like to "name" the phones. In every other system I had int he past this was a no brainer. With the KX-TG9382T it is not even possible.

My last comment is about the answering machine. It is just awful. To retrieve while out is just very confusing. I have gotten to the point of just not bothering anymore.

Just my $0.02... Look at other units.

The phone is exactly as described. I was having a problem with my older phone's cutting out. I believe it was from my wireless internet, and now there is no longer a problem.
