1 out of 5 stars Just terrible   August 10, 2010
J. Curry (Libertyville, IL USA)
This phone is trying to use the technology that is used for the iPhone, where there are no "buttons" but just a screen. When you pull the phone away from your ear, you have to constantly press the "unlock" button. If there were a fire, not being able to just press 911 is very unsettling. I have always loved VTECH phones, but this one sorely misses the mark.

4 out of 5 stars Nice improvement from the original!   July 7, 2010

I owned the previous version and gave it away thinking I wouldn't need a land line any longer, but I did end up needing to get one again, and went back to this phone as I'd liked the previous version so much. The design is really clean and B&O looking, and the Bluetooth feature is nice as well. I've read other people's complaints about it getting smudged or leaving fingerprints and I don't find that to be an issue at all. I like the speakerphone feature a lot, though the light weight of this phone means it doesn't stand up on its base as solidly as the previous one did. You have to carefully stand it up if you have to use it that way. Other than that, it looks great and sounds great, I totally recommend it.

1 out of 5 stars Very poor usability--flawed concept   June 18, 2010

The touch interface on this phone is poorly thought out and maddening to use. After giving it a fair try in our household for three weeks, I'm throwing it out (can't return it since the problems are "as designed"). Less gadget-savy people have a hard time dealing with the touch screen and the keypad locking. My mother-in-law and housekeeper cannot use the phone at all. I don't find it very difficult, but even understanding how it works, I have to be careful and pay attention to basic tasks like dialing way more than I should have to with a simple device. And even then I frequently make mistakes and have to retry. I fell for the design, but the tradeoffs are too great, and the smooth shiny surfaces quickly get covered with slime and guck if you don't wipe it off after each use.

4 out of 5 stars Works Great & Good Quality   June 11, 2010

Have been using it for about 3 months. The bluetooth phone works great and the built, reception, and voice quality are great. However, there are many opportunities to enhance the phone features and functionalities...just review any today modern cell phone if you need ideas.

Great Phone! I've had no problems at all with this phone! No dropped signals or interference! Easy to use and I love the touch screen! Best cordless phone on the market as of yet!!!
