The base station didn't even last a year. September 3, 2010 MKarkaeen (Los Angeles, CA United States) The base station didn't even last one year. After about 8 months, it started to show various errors in performance, and then about 11 months, it died completely. Very disappointing.
mixed feelings August 20, 2010 dsconi On my second set of phones after sending the first set back for a sound-loss issue that a few others have raised in their reviews. Thought I would take the chance initially (and again in getting a replacement instead of a refund) given the sheer number of reviewers who did not have this problem, but it looks like I may have been cursed twice! I love the phones, but my wife complains that the replacement set of phones are exhibiting the same problem--if less frequently. She'll be in the midst of a conversation when the other party suddenly goes silent for several seconds. It only seems to happen to her, but, then again she's on the phone a lot more than I am! My only other complaint is that the range is far, far lower than I was expecting. A short walk out the front door and I've lost the signal--no more than 40 feet from the receiver.
Best Phone System I Ever Owned June 28, 2010 Frequent Buyer (NE Wyoming) I have had lots of phones and answering systems and this is the best by far.
Great sound, battery life.
Satellite sets do not need phone cord; ours is at the far end of the house and works fine.
I am getting more satellites while I can
Battery Champ June 23, 2010 Dax (S.W. Michigan) This product replaced a set of AT&T DECT 6.0 phones. I pre-charged the batteries as recommended, and simply swapped with the previous units. Setup through the on-phone menu was straight forward, only consulted the manual a couple of times to verify a few features.
Performance is good, range excellent inside and outside the house. The battery life is phenomenal - used on speaker phone for 2 hours, without even the loss of a single battery status bar. The batteries on the AT&T phone (proprietary type) failed after a hour, and one of the battery packs failed completely after 6 months - wouldn't charge again. This in addition to costing nearly as much as the phone to replace (which I didn't do, and wouldn't recommend). The Panasonic batteries are a standard NiMH AAA cell, easy and inexpensive to replace.
If you want a great performer, the Panasonic DECT 6.0 is solid. AT&T, not so much.
Cordless panasonic phone May 3, 2010 R. A. Morris (Powhatan, VA) Large, easy to understand buttons. Very hard to cradle between the shoulder and ear but that is the only negative. Battery life is superb, which was a big reason for choosing this model. Speakerphone works well. Bargain priced, quick delivery easy set-up. Highly recommended. Clear sound quality.
